Shown below is a embedded calendar made using the Google Calendar App. Since I am not a big Google Apps user, I was only willing to spend a certain amount of time putting together an example. If you're very familiar with Google Apps, this might be a great free solution for you. For me, I've always found Google Apps to be difficult to use and almost impossible to figure out how to use, given the lack of support for the applications. You'll notice that rather than showing the event on the calendar, it shows "Busy". There is a fix for that, and after poking around the Internet for a while, I finally found something on a Google board that explained how to do it, something about the permissions set in the Google Apps account itself as opposed to the permissions set in the Calendar application, where I'd already set the calendar for public sharing. I just didn't have the time to try to understand the instructions, then find the places I needed to go, etc etc For me, I'd much prefer to pay $20 per year for an ad-free, easy to use calendar like the one from Keep and Share. |
